The Solis S6-EH3P15K02-NV-YD-L is a 15kW three-phase low voltage hybrid inverter, built for large residential and light commercial solar-plus-storage systems. With a maximum usable PV input power of 24kW, a 40-60V battery voltage range, and a battery-side charge/discharge current of up to 290A, it stores substantially more surplus solar energy than smaller models in the range while remaining compatible with mainstream low voltage lithium and lead-acid batteries.
A battery-side charge/discharge current of up to 290A lets this model store substantially more surplus solar energy than the smaller 8K, 10K, and 12K variants in the same range, suiting larger battery banks in high-consumption homes.
Multiple inverters can operate together to form a microgrid, giving larger sites or multi-building properties a way to coordinate several units as one coherent power system rather than isolated installations.
Two independently controlled backup ports allow intelligent separation of critical and non-critical loads, so essential circuits stay powered during an outage while less critical circuits can be shed to conserve battery capacity.
The inverter sustains 200% of rated power for 10 seconds in backup mode, providing the inrush current needed to start motor-driven loads such as pumps and air conditioning compressors from battery power.
Full generator compatibility extends backup duration during grid power outages, giving properties with a backup generator a way to recharge the battery and support loads through prolonged outages.
The inverter supports unbalanced and half-wave loads on both the grid and backup port, allowing single-phase loads to be served flexibly from a three-phase supply without dedicated balancing equipment.

What size PV array can be connected to this inverter?
The inverter supports a maximum usable PV input power of 24kW across two MPPT inputs, each rated at 40A, making it suitable for high-power PV modules from any manufacturer without derating.
Which batteries are compatible with this inverter?
The inverter operates within a 40-60V battery voltage range and is compatible with mainstream lithium and lead-acid battery brands. Always confirm compatibility against the current Solis approved battery list before specifying a system, particularly given this model's higher 290A charge/discharge current.
How fast is the backup power switchover, and what surge capacity does it offer?
The manufacturer's datasheet specifies a switchover time of under 10ms, with a 10-second 200% overload capability in backup mode — enough to start motor-driven loads such as pumps and air conditioning compressors.
Can multiple units be combined to form a microgrid?
Yes. Multiple inverters can operate together to form a microgrid, coordinating several units as one power system for larger sites or multi-building properties.
Can this inverter be used with a backup generator?
Yes. It includes generator compatibility rated at 15kW, extending backup duration during grid power outages by allowing a generator to recharge the battery and support loads directly.
Can this inverter handle unbalanced loads across the three phases?
Yes. The inverter supports unbalanced and half-wave loads on both the grid and backup port, giving flexibility for uneven single-phase loads on a three-phase supply.
