The Solis Data Logging Device RF Kit and RF Stick (SOL-RF-LINK) is Solis' radio-frequency alternative to a standard Wi-Fi or LAN data logger, giving installers a quick, wireless way to connect a Solis inverter to SolisCloud without running network cabling to the inverter itself.
The kit is supplied as two parts that work together: the RF Stick (terminal), which plugs directly into the inverter's communication port, and the RF Gateway (data logger), which connects to the home router by Ethernet cable. The two units pair over radio frequency rather than Wi-Fi, so there is no router password or network configuration to enter on the inverter side — the gateway simply talks to the stick automatically.
This makes the RF Link especially useful where the inverter is out of Wi-Fi range of the router, or for fast commissioning on residential installs: if a customer later changes their broadband router, the installer (or customer) just unplugs the RF Gateway from the old router and plugs it into the new one — the inverter connection re-establishes automatically with no reconfiguration required.
