Description

The SolaX X1-FIT G4 is a single-phase AC-coupled battery inverter for adding energy storage to a solar PV system. It is supplied here in 3.68 kW, 5.0 kW and 7.5 kW ratings, connecting on the AC side alongside your existing generation.

It delivers 110% overload output on-grid and a maximum 120% overload output off-grid for one hour, with up to 97% charge and discharge efficiency. EPS backup switches over in under 10 ms, and the inverter is CT compatible so loads respond within 0.3 seconds.

It works with lithium and lead-acid batteries (80–480 V), offers 5 work modes with 2 charging periods, supports intelligent load management for heat pumps and is VPP ready, all in an IP65 enclosure with integrated SPD.

Installation and grid connection: Must be installed by a qualified, competent person in line with BS 7671 and the manufacturer's manual, including the wiring of the EPS backup circuit. The 3.68 kW variant (16 A) is notified under G98, while the 5.0 kW and 7.5 kW ratings exceed 16 A and need a G99 application before installation.

Off-grid overload: Peak EPS output is 120% of rated power for up to 60 minutes on the 3.68 kW and 5.0 kW ratings. The 7.5 kW peak equals its rated 7,500 VA.

What is an AC-coupled battery inverter?
