The SolaX Smart EV Charger G2 (7kW, single-phase, tethered, model X1-HAC-7P-E) is a next-generation home charging point built for households running SolaX solar and battery systems, or simply wanting a smart, connected EV charger. It delivers up to 7.2kW from a standard single-phase 230V supply and comes with a tethered Type 2 (IEC 62196) cable, so there's nothing extra to buy before charging.
The charger integrates with new or existing PV systems for 100% green energy charging, and includes smart dynamic load balance control to keep total household demand within the property's supply capacity. Charging is managed through the SolaX Cloud App over WiFi, Ethernet or optional 4G, with RFID authentication and built-in PEN fault protection designed to meet BS 7671:2018 requirements without needing a separate earth rod in most installations.

Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with BS 7671:2018 wiring regulations and the manufacturer's installation manual. The charger includes built-in PEN fault protection technology compliant with BS 7671:2018 requirements, but the electrical supply and earthing arrangement must still be assessed on site.
Three Charging Modes
Switch between Green Mode (solar PV only), ECO Mode (fixed power level) and Fast Mode (maximum charging rate) directly from the SolaX Cloud App, to suit whichever balance of speed and self-consumption fits the household.
Solar System Not Required
This charger integrates with new or existing SolaX PV systems for green energy charging, but it also works as a fully capable standalone AC charger on properties without solar panels installed.
