The SolarEdge ONE EV Charger (7.4kW, single-phase, socketed, model EVN74SU0-01) is SolarEdge's residential AC charging point, built to work as a standalone home charger or as part of a wider SolarEdge ONE energy ecosystem alongside SolarEdge inverters, batteries and home energy management. Its slim, compact housing uses snap-on wall mounting and multiple cable entry points, so installers can typically fit it in a few minutes.
This socketed version accepts any compatible IEC 62196 Type 2 charging cable rather than including a fixed tethered lead, giving the household flexibility to use their own cable or upgrade it independently of the charge point. Built-In PEN Fault Detection
The EVN74SU0-01 includes integrated PEN (Protective Earth Neutral) fault detection, a safety feature required on TN-C-S ('PME') electrical supplies in the UK. This continuously monitors for a loss of the combined neutral/earth conductor upstream of the property and disconnects the charger if a fault is detected, protecting against an exported earth fault reaching the vehicle.
Socketed Outlet - Cable Not Included
This is the socket outlet version of the SolarEdge ONE EV Charger: it does not come with a tethered charging cable. A separate Type 2 to Type 2 (or Type 2 to Type 1) cable is required to connect a vehicle. If a fixed cable is preferred, check for the tethered variant of this charger instead.
Solar-Optimised Charging
When paired with a compatible SolarEdge inverter and monitored through the mySolarEdge app, the charger can prioritise surplus solar generation to reduce grid-drawn charging costs. It also works as a fully standalone AC charger on properties without a SolarEdge PV system.

Does this charger come with a charging cable?
No. The EVN74SU0-01 is the socketed version, so it has a Type 2 socket outlet rather than a fixed cable. You will need your own Type 2 charging cable (Type 2-to-Type 2 or Type 2-to-Type 1, depending on your vehicle's inlet) to connect and charge.
Do I need a SolarEdge solar system to use this charger?
No. The SolarEdge ONE EV Charger works as a standalone AC charger on any compatible electrical supply. If you do have a SolarEdge inverter installed, the charger can additionally take advantage of solar-aware charging features through the SolarEdge ecosystem.
What is PEN fault detection and why does it matter?
PEN fault detection is a safety feature that monitors the combined neutral/earth conductor on a TN-C-S ('PME') supply.
