The SolarEdge ONE Controller for C&I (ONE-CLC1-RWWB0-P) is an on-site energy management gateway designed for commercial and industrial solar PV sites. It connects SolarEdge inverters, batteries, meters, and third-party environmental sensors into a single managed system, enabling the SolarEdge ONE for C&I optimisation platform to maximise self-consumption, comply with grid regulations via its built-in Power Production Control (PPC), and deliver centralised SafeDC™ fire safety shutdown through the integrated Firefighter Gateway function. A fanless, passively cooled design with 802.11ax Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, dual RS485, CAN Bus, and dual gigabit LAN ensures broad compatibility and secure over-the-air firmware updates.

⚠ Installer Note — Installation and configuration must be carried out by a qualified installer with SolarEdge C&I training. The ONE Controller must be powered from a suitable 100–240 Vac supply via the included PSU. Never connect high-voltage DC lines directly to the controller.

What does the Firefighter Gateway function do?
The ONE Controller includes an integrated Firefighter Gateway capability. By receiving input signals from connected fire alarm panels or emergency stop devices, it triggers SafeDC™ automatic DC voltage shutdown across the PV array — reducing DC voltages to safe levels for firefighters. An optional external HDMI-connected display (sourced locally) can provide visible voltage confirmation at a safe distance from the array.
What devices can the ONE Controller connect to?
The ONE Controller connects SolarEdge commercial PV inverters, SolarEdge commercial storage systems, energy meters (via RS485/Modbus), and selected third-party environmental sensors. The digital I/O ports allow integration with external control signals, relays, and grid protection devices. Full device compatibility lists are in the ONE Controller C&I User Guide.
Does the ONE Controller require cloud connectivity to operate?
No — the ONE Controller includes extended local data retention to maintain site operation and logging if cloud connectivity is interrupted. However, the SolarEdge ONE for C&I optimisation platform's advanced features (remote monitoring, fleet-level analytics, PPC commands) require a working internet connection for full functionality.
