The Sentinel X100 Inhibitor (MPN X100) is a leave-in, general-purpose treatment providing total protection against corrosion and limescale in all types of indirect central heating systems, including those containing aluminium components. Built on TripleTech™ Anti-Corrosion Technology, a blend of three heavy-duty specialist corrosion inhibitors, X100 targets the different metal types typically found across a multi-metal heating system, extending equipment life and helping maintain fuel efficiency.

Dose Rate
1 litre of Sentinel X100 treats 100 litres of system water (1% dose rate). Larger systems require proportionally more product.
Pre-Treatment Cleaning Required
For best results, systems should be cleaned and flushed in accordance with BS 7593 before dosing: use Sentinel X300 for new systems and those up to 6 months old, or Sentinel X400 / Sentinel X800 for existing systems.
Noisy Boiler Note
If the system is already noisy due to limescale deposits in the heat exchanger, Sentinel X200 should be added together with X100 rather than X100 alone.
TripleTech™ Anti-Corrosion Technology
A unique blend of three heavy-duty specialist corrosion inhibitors, each targeting a different metal type, delivers protection across multi-metal heating systems rather than a single generic formula.
Never Needs Replacing
Once added, Sentinel X100 never needs to be replaced unless the system is drained down, giving genuine leave-in, long-term protection.
All-Metal, All-Water Compatibility
Suitable for use in all types of indirect central heating system, including those with aluminium, and effective in both hard and soft water areas.
Prevents Hydrogen Gassing
Helps prevent the formation of hydrogen gas within the system, a common cause of aluminium component corrosion and system noise.
pH-Neutral Formulation
A pH neutral formulation that protects system metals without introducing the corrosive risks associated with acidic or highly alkaline treatments.
Energy Saving Trust Recommended
X100 is an Energy Saving Trust Recommended product, reflecting its role in maintaining boiler efficiency and reducing energy waste from scale and corrosion.

How much X100 do I need for my system?
1 litre of Sentinel X100 treats 100 litres of system water - a 1% dose rate. Larger systems require proportionally more product.
Does X100 need to be cleaned out and replaced periodically?
No. Once added, Sentinel X100 never needs to be replaced unless the system is drained down.
Do I need to clean the system before adding X100?
Yes, for best results. Use Sentinel X300 on new systems or those up to 6 months old, or Sentinel X400 / X800 on existing systems before dosing with X100.
Is X100 suitable for systems with aluminium components?
Yes, X100 is suitable for use with all commonly encountered metals and alloys, including aluminium.
What should I do if my boiler is noisy?
If noise is caused by limescale deposits in the heat exchanger, add Sentinel X200 together with X100.
Can X100 be used in potable (drinking) water systems?
No. Sentinel X100 is not for use in potable water systems - it is intended for closed central heating circuits only.
