The Saniflo Sanicondens Pro (1082/5) is a compact automatic condensate pump for air conditioning units and condensing boilers, and it also suits dehumidifiers, refrigerated units and MVHR systems. Use it wherever condensate cannot drain by gravity: a 2.2 l tank collects the water, a float starts the pump, and it lifts condensate up to 4.5 m vertically and discharges it up to 50 m horizontally (with a 1 % fall).
For air conditioning, the two 28 mm inlets let one pump serve two indoor units, and the pump runs below 45 dB(A) with a built-in non-return valve and a 6 m discharge hose supplied. It mounts on a wall bracket or stands on the floor, and an alarm pre-connection cable allows an external overflow alarm. No neutraliser is needed for air conditioners. For condensing boilers (gas up to 50 kW, oil up to 30 kW), fit a Sanineutral or Sanineutral Mini neutralising filter (sold separately) upstream of the pump. It comes with a 6m flexible discharge hose and a 2m mains cable, is designed, made and tested in France, and is backed by a 2-year manufacturer's warranty.

Important Safety Information
The pump must be wired into a fused, unswitched, fixed wiring connection unit fitted with a 5 amp fuse on an earthed supply. Saniflo's instructions state it must not be connected to a conventional plug and socket. Electrical installation must be carried out by a competent person in line with BS 7671, with the supply isolated before any work. Wiring to a gas boiler's control circuit should be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer (OFTEC registered for oil).
Please Note
4.5m lift and 50m run are separate maximums, not a combined rating. The longer the vertical lift, the shorter the horizontal run: 1m of lift allows up to 50m of run, while the full 4.5m of lift allows up to 15m (all at a 1% fall). See the lift and run chart below.
Please Note
The pump tolerates acidic condensate down to pH 2.5 but does not neutralise it. Saniflo describes the Pro as the version for installations where a neutralising tray is not required. Where the boiler manufacturer's instructions or local requirements call for neutralisation, fit a suitable neutraliser in the condensate line ahead of the pump, and always follow the boiler manufacturer's condensate guidance.
Good to Know
Optional boiler shutdown: wiring the brown and black wires of the alarm cable to your boiler's control relay switches the boiler off if the water level in the pump rises abnormally. The maximum current the alarm contacts can carry is 0.5A.
Key Features
Fully Automatic Operation
A float switch in the reservoir starts the motor as condensate arrives and stops it once the tank is emptied. There is nothing to set, and Saniflo specifies no particular routine maintenance.
2-Litre Reservoir
The 2L tank collects condensate between pump cycles. The motor is rated for S3 15% intermittent duty (90 seconds on, 510 seconds off), which suits the stop-start nature of condensate flow.
Quiet Running
A sound level of below 45 dB(A) keeps it unobtrusive in kitchens, utility rooms and boiler cupboards.
Integral Non-Return Valve
The discharge connection has a built-in non-return valve, so pumped condensate cannot flow back into the tank and trigger unnecessary restarts.
Two 28mm Inlets
One inlet on each side of the cover lets you pick the side that suits your pipework. Rubber adapters for 19, 32 and 40mm condensate pipe are included.
High-Level Alarm Output
A second float operates a 3-core alarm cable (2m) that can drive an audible or visual alarm from 1.5V to 230V, or be wired to the boiler's control relay.
Lift and Run: What the Pump Delivers
Use the chart to check your layout. These figures are from Saniflo's product sheet and show the maximum horizontal run available at each vertical lift.
Vertical lift
Maximum horizontal run
Figures apply with a 1% fall on the horizontal section. Maximum flow rate is 342 L/h, falling to 156 L/h at 4m lift.
Applications
Condensing Boilers
Lifts boiler condensate to a suitable drain where a gravity fall is not possible. Handles condensate down to pH 2.5.
Air Conditioning
Removes condensate from air conditioning systems where the unit cannot drain by gravity.
Refrigeration Units
Disposes of condensate from refrigeration units to a remote drain.
Dehumidifiers
Pumps dehumidifier condensate away to a drain instead of relying on a manual tank.
Saniflo's installation instructions state that applications other than those they describe are not permitted.

Installation Overview
Fix the pump to the wall using its integral wall fixings, somewhere easy to reach for checks, and use a spirit level to make sure it is level before fixing. Keep it protected from damp. Connect the condensate pipe to either 28mm inlet, using the rubber adapters if your pipe is 19, 32 or 40mm, then push the supplied 6m flexible hose onto the non-return valve. The hose should form the vertical section of the discharge run, positioned as upright as possible with a smooth bend rather than a kink. A reducing connector on the horizontal section joins the 8mm hose to larger-bore waste pipe, and push-fit reducers to 22mm pipework are available.
Remove the protective lock pin from the rear of the unit before switching on. Wire the pump to a fused, unswitched connection unit (brown live, blue neutral, green/yellow earth). For an external alarm, connect the blue and brown alarm wires; for boiler shutdown on high water level, connect the brown and black wires to the boiler's control relay.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a neutraliser with this pump?
The pump does not neutralise condensate. It is built to handle acidic condensate down to pH 2.5, and Saniflo describes it as similar to its Sanicondens Best but for installations where a neutralising tray is not required. If the boiler manufacturer's instructions or local requirements call for neutralisation, fit a suitable neutraliser in the condensate line ahead of the pump inlet.
Can I get the full 4.5m lift and 50m run at the same time?
No. They are alternative maximums. A 1m lift allows up to 50m of horizontal run, 2m allows 40m, 3m allows 30m, 4m allows 20m, and the full 4.5m lift allows up to 15m, all with a 1% fall.
Can I plug it into a socket?
No. Saniflo's UK instructions require the pump to be wired into a fused, unswitched fixed connection unit with a 5 amp fuse on an earthed supply, installed by a competent person to BS 7671. It must not be connected to a conventional plug and socket.
What happens if the pump blocks or fails?
A second float operates the alarm contacts if the water level rises abnormally, so you can trigger an external alarm or switch the boiler off through its control relay. Once the alarm has triggered, any water that keeps filling the tank leaves through the overflow outlets in the cover to protect the electrical parts. If the pump will not start or lift, Saniflo's checks are: lock pin removed, unit level, power supply, float free, and the tank, inlet pipe, non-return valve and discharge pipe clear.
Can it handle hot condensate?
It is designed for an average working temperature of 35°C and will accept water up to 80°C intermittently, rated at S3 15% duty (90 seconds on, 510 seconds off). It is not intended for continuous hot discharge.
How does this differ from the Sanicondens Pro V02?
This is the original Sanicondens Pro, reference 1082/5. Saniflo has since introduced the updated Pro V02 (SK6) with a revised housing, and its dimensions and some ratings differ. The figures on this page apply to 1082/5 only, so check dimensions and connections before using it as a direct replacement for a V02.
