The Samsung MIM-C02N is the manufacturer's own S-NET Pro 2 service dongle: an RS485 communication converter with USB connection that links a Windows PC to the Samsung communication line so engineers can commission, monitor, diagnose and update compatible Samsung systems. Wire TX+ and TX- to the F1/F2 terminals (or R1/R2 with S-NET Pro 2 version 1.4.6 or newer), plug in the USB cable and the software can see every connected indoor and outdoor unit.
Each kit is supplied with the converter, a USB cable and a dedicated firmware update cable for connecting directly to a unit PCB, giving installers two routes for firmware updates from one tool. Once connected, S-NET Pro 2 provides live data monitoring, trend graphs, data recording and replay, error code reference and a pre-fault data backup, which makes it a core item in any Samsung service bag.

Professional tool: safety and firmware
The MIM-C02N is intended for trained Samsung installers and service engineers. Isolate the equipment before connecting the firmware update cable to a PCB, and only load Samsung-approved firmware that matches the board hardware. A firmware update reprograms the controller, so follow Samsung guidance for your model.
Compatibility: please check before ordering
Samsung describes S-NET Pro 2 as service software for NASA protocol systems: DVM S, CAC, DVM S Water and DVM Chiller. Support for other Samsung heat pump ranges, and which settings and firmware are available, depends on the model and controller generation. Confirm your exact unit with Samsung technical support before ordering.
Check the wiring polarity
The communication LED also blinks when TX+ and TX- are connected the wrong way round. Always confirm TX+ to F1 and TX- to F2 rather than relying on the LED alone.
Software is not included
The kit does not include S-NET Pro 2 software or the USB-serial driver. Both are downloaded separately from Samsung. After plugging in, wait about 30 seconds so Windows can configure the COM port before opening the software.

View outdoor unit cycle data (frequencies, discharge and compressor temperatures, EEV steps), indoor unit data (set and room temperature, evaporator in/out) and MCU status on one screen.
Trend graphs and replay
Plot up to 4 graph windows with 6 data points each, record sessions, then replay at x1 to x8 speed to find intermittent faults.
Fault diagnosis support
Built-in error code list and a 30-minute data backup from before a system error, saved as an Excel file for review.
Commissioning tools
Use the Indoor Option Writer to set indoor unit options, rename units and locations, and generate a start-up report as a PDF.
Two firmware update routes
Update multiple indoor units at once over F1/F2, or use the supplied firmware update cable to reprogram a PCB directly.
Clear status LEDs
LEDs show USB power and speed, indoor/outdoor data flow on the F1/F2 line, and when control commands are sent.

Connection and use
1. Connect the USB cable between the PC and the converter. 2. Wire TX+ to F1 and TX- to F2 at the outdoor unit terminal block or any F1/F2 point (or the matching R1/R2 points). 3. Wait 30 seconds, then open S-NET Pro 2; the COM port is normally detected automatically. 4. Press Connect to begin communication. On first use, open the configuration options to choose metric or imperial units.
