The Salus iT700 WiFi Smart Thermostat is an ultra-slim, 11 mm deep smartphone-controlled thermostat that manages both heating and cooling. It arrives as a factory pre-paired set with the WZ600 WiFi Zigbee receiver, which switches your boiler or heat pump through a single-channel relay with a flexible-use volt-free switch rated 16(5) A. The pair works locally straight out of the box, then goes online through the SALUS Premium Lite app using 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi with Bluetooth LE for set-up.
Everyday control comes from a large LCD and push-button menu on the thermostat, or from your phone. Schedules can be programmed daily, weekly or 5/2 via the app, with boost, manual override and holiday mode on hand, plus a local standby mode that works as frost or overheating protection. Optimum start/stop, selectable control algorithms including TPI and listed UK Boiler Plus compatibility help hold comfort while keeping run time sensible.
A 750 mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery powers the thermostat for up to two years per charge, so there is no mains wiring at the wall unit. The landlord function lets you lock both the thermostat and the receiver from the app, email and text alerts keep you informed, and the app is subscription-free. You can grow the system with SR600 smart relays and SP600 smart plugs, up to 16 devices in total, to bring electric radiators, towel rails and other appliances under the same schedule.

Installation and safety
The WZ600 receiver is mains-powered (230 V AC, 50 Hz) and switches your heating circuit. Installation must be carried out by a qualified person in accordance with national regulations, including BS 7671 for electrical work, and any work on a gas appliance must be done by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Indoor use only. Keep the devices dry and disconnect the supply before cleaning with a dry cloth.
Check before you order: compatibility
The receiver connects on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only, so make sure your router offers a 2.4 GHz network at the receiver location. The receiver outputs a volt-free contact, so confirm that your boiler, heat pump or zone control accepts a volt-free call for heat or cool before fitting. Electric heaters and air conditioning units are controlled through the optional SR600 or SP600 devices.
Ready out of the box
The thermostat and receiver are paired at the factory and will work locally as soon as they are powered. Remote control is added by connecting the thermostat to the SALUS Premium Lite app, which supports Alexa and Google Assistant voice control.

Landlord function and key lock
Lock the thermostat and receiver from the app to prevent tampering, and use the on-device key lock to stop settings being changed by hand. Ideal for rentals and shared buildings.
Pre-paired and expandable
Arrives factory paired, receives over-the-air firmware updates and supports SR600 relays and SP600 plugs, up to 16 devices in total, on the same Zigbee network.
