The Salus RT510RF+ is a fully programmable wireless room thermostat and receiver pack built for modern UK boiler control. It combines ITLC (Internal Temperature Load Compensation) for Boiler Plus compliance, a pre-paired 868MHz RF link with a 30 metre range and a clear LCD display, so you can position the thermostat where it best reads the room without running control cable back to the boiler. It is the upgraded replacement for the Salus RT510RF.

Choose between a 5/2 day or 24 hour (7-day) programmer, then fine-tune comfort with manual mode, temporary override, a +Hr boost of up to 9 hours, frost protection, holiday mode and sleep mode. The wall-mounted RXRT510 receiver offers volt-free and 230V switching with a 16(5)A rating and a built-in AUTO / ON / OFF override switch. Backed by a 5 year manufacturer warranty.

ITLC measures how far the room is from the set temperature and moderates the heating cycle to limit overshoot. This is the load compensation measure that supports Boiler Plus requirements for gas boiler installations in England. Keep the thermostat on ITLC (DIP switch 2) to retain this function.
Replaces the Salus RT510RF
The RT510RF+ is the upgraded successor to the Salus RT510RF wireless programmable thermostat. Salus developed the RT510 range into the RT510+ range, with the headline upgrade being the addition of ITLC load compensation for Boiler Plus. The pack keeps the same RXRT510 receiver and 868MHz wireless platform, and the wireless-only RT510TX+ thermostat is the matching add-on thermostat for it.
Compatibility notes
This thermostat is not suitable for underfloor heating and is not internet or app controlled. For plug-in boiler receiver applications set DIP switch SW1 to RAD. Selecting SPAN on DIP switch 2 replaces ITLC with a conventional on/off span, so ITLC will not be active. Always confirm your boiler accepts a volt-free or 230V room thermostat input.
Safety and installation
The receiver connects to a 230V AC supply. Isolate the mains before wiring. Installation must be carried out by a qualified, competent person in accordance with BS 7671, national regulations and the boiler manufacturer's instructions (Gas Safe registered for any work on gas appliances). For indoor use only. Use only AA 1.5V alkaline batteries in the thermostat; do not use rechargeable batteries.

Installer Settings and Everyday Use

Installer mode lets you set temperature display increments (0.1°C or 0.5°C), apply a temperature offset of up to ±3.0°C, change the frost protection setpoint and choose the programmer type. Settings are retained in internal memory while you change batteries (replace them within 30 seconds), and a low battery icon on the LCD display gives advance warning. The desk stand supplied means the thermostat can sit on a shelf or be mounted on the wall.

Which Salus model does the RT510RF+ replace?
It replaces the Salus RT510RF programmable RF thermostat and receiver pack. The RT510RF+ adds ITLC load compensation for Boiler Plus, while keeping the RXRT510 receiver and 868MHz wireless platform. The matching wireless-only RT510TX+ thermostat uses the same receiver.
Will the RT510RF+ work with my boiler?
It works with boilers and heating systems that accept a volt-free or 230V on/off room thermostat input. The receiver output is volt-free NO / COM and is rated 16(5)A. Check your boiler's room thermostat terminals before ordering; this is a thermostat for on/off control and is not for underfloor heating.
What does ITLC do and does it meet Boiler Plus?
ITLC (Internal Temperature Load Compensation) compares the room temperature with the set temperature and moderates the heating cycle to avoid overheating. It provides the load compensation measure that supports Boiler Plus compliance. Keep DIP switch 2 on ITLC; choosing SPAN switches ITLC off.
Can I use it with underfloor heating?
No. Salus states the RT510RF+ is not suitable for underfloor heating. Use a thermostat designed for underfloor systems instead.
How do I test or re-pair the wireless link?
The thermostat and receiver are paired at the factory, so no pairing is needed on first use. Press the TEST / PAIRING button to check the connection with the receiver, and press it again to return to the main screen. If you need to re-pair, set the receiver switches to AUTO and ON, power it up and follow the pairing sequence in the supplied guide.
What batteries does it use and what happens when they run low?
The thermostat uses 2 x AA 1.5V alkaline batteries; rechargeable batteries must not be used. A low battery icon appears on the LCD. Settings are held in internal memory, so fit new batteries within 30 seconds to keep your programme.
Can I switch between 5/2 day and 7-day programming?
Yes. In installer mode parameter d04 selects the 5/2 day or 24 hour (7-day) programmer. Programmed schedules should use all time periods.
