Is this a K2 or Type 22 radiator?
Both terms describe the same construction. "K2" and "Type 22" are interchangeable industry names for a double panel, double convector radiator - two full steel panels with two convector fins between them, giving higher output than a single panel (K1 / Type 11) radiator of the same dimensions.
What size room will this radiator heat?
At 1732W (5910 BTU/h), this size is generally suited to a small-to-medium room with reasonable insulation. Actual suitability depends on room volume, insulation standard, window area and target temperature, so we'd recommend running a proper heat-loss calculation for your specific room before ordering.
Does it come with a valve?
No. Radiator valves are sold separately so you can choose the type that suits your system - manual, thermostatic (TRV), or angled/straight/corner pattern to match your pipework.
Can this be used with a heat pump?
K2 compact radiators can be used on heat pump systems, but because heat pumps run at lower flow temperatures than a gas boiler, the actual heat output will be lower than the BS EN 442 Delta T50 figure quoted here. For heat pump installations, always size radiators against the manufacturer's low-temperature output data (typically Delta T30) rather than the standard Delta T50 rating.
What's the maximum operating pressure and temperature?
This radiator is rated to a maximum operating pressure of 10 bar, suitable for both vented and unvented (pressurised) central heating systems. As with all steel panel radiators, always check your specific system pressure and consult a qualified heating engineer if you're unsure.
