Description

The Reina Portland Straight Radiator Valves are a pair of manual valves with a straight body, solid brass construction and 15mm pipe connections. Choose from Anthracite (VLV-PRT/SA) and Chrome (VLV-PRT/S) to match your radiator or heated towel rail.

The Portland has a clean, modern profile that finishes designer radiators neatly and suits both contemporary and period interiors. As manual valves, they give simple on/off control, and the pair lets you isolate the radiator at either end when you need to remove it or work on the circuit.

Check your pipework before ordering

Straight valves keep the connection in line with the radiator tail. If your pipework needs to turn through 90 degrees at the valve, an angled or corner set may fit better. Corner, angled and straight valves are not interchangeable, so confirm your layout first.

Installation and safety

Isolate and drain down the heating circuit, and let the system cool, before fitting. Installation should be carried out by a competent installer in line with the manufacturer's instructions and current regulations. After refilling, bleed the radiator, check every joint for leaks, and make sure the system water is treated with inhibitor to BS 7593.

No. They are manual valves, so you control them by hand. For automatic room temperature control, choose a thermostatic set such as the Reina Modal TRV with lockshield.

Do I need angled, corner or straight valves?

It depends on where your pipework meets the radiator. Angled valves typically suit pipework rising through the floor, straight valves keep the connection in line, and corner valves are normally used where pipes come from the wall.
