The RackyRax Cabinet 12U 550D – Black is a wall-mountable 19" enclosure built to house Pylontech US5000 lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery modules, together with associated inverters, battery management equipment, fusing and cabling, in a secure, ventilated steel cabinet.
This 12U, 550mm-wide, 550mm-deep welded steel cabinet gives an internal working depth of 440mm – more than enough to accommodate the US5000's 420mm module depth with room to spare for rear cabling and airflow. Adjustable front and rear 19" mounting profiles, a lockable toughened glass door and removable side panels make it suited to residential solar battery storage and small commercial installations that need a tidy, wall-mounted battery enclosure.

Adjustable 19" Mounting Rails
Front and rear 19" adjustable mounting profiles allow batteries, shelves, inverters and accessories to be positioned flexibly within the cabinet depth.
Lockable Toughened Glass Door
A lockable, removable toughened glass front door gives a clear view of battery status LEDs and connections while keeping the enclosure secure.
Removable Side Panels
Both side panels are lockable and fully removable, giving clear access for battery installation, cabling and ongoing maintenance without dismantling the frame.
Top & Bottom Cable Entry
Removable gland plates at the top and bottom of the cabinet support clean, concealed routing of battery interconnect, communication and power cables.
Welded Steel Frame
A welded steel cabinet frame finished in black provides a rigid, self-supporting enclosure that does not require flat-pack assembly on site.
Ventilated Top & Bottom
Ventilation slots at the top and bottom of the cabinet support natural airflow around battery modules, complementing the US5000's own natural-convection cooling.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many Pylontech US5000 modules will this cabinet hold?
Each US5000 module is 161mm tall. With 440mm of internal height available in the 12U enclosure, the achievable stack count depends on the mounting method used (shelf-mounted vs a dedicated battery rack/frame within the cabinet) and the clearance needed for cabling, fusing and any inverter also housed inside. Confirm the exact configuration with your installer, as it is installer-configuration dependent rather than fixed by the cabinet alone.
Is the cabinet deep enough for the US5000?
Yes. The US5000 module is 420mm deep, and this cabinet has an internal working depth greater than that, leaving room behind the module for cable entry, communication cabling (RS485/CAN) and ventilation.
Does the cabinet come with shelves or a battery mounting frame?
No. The cabinet is supplied as an empty enclosure with adjustable 19" rails. Shelves, battery mounting brackets or a dedicated Pylontech rack accessory are ordered separately according to your chosen internal layout.
Can this cabinet be used for equipment other than Pylontech batteries?
Yes. As a standard 19" wall-mounting data/equipment cabinet, it can also house other low-voltage battery brands, inverters, network equipment or DIN rail accessories that fit its adjustable rail spacing and internal depth.
Is the cabinet suitable for wall mounting?
