Electrical installation: The timer requires a 220 - 240V AC fixed mains supply. Installation must be carried out by a suitably qualified electrician or other competent person. Isolate the mains supply before removing or refitting the timer on its backplate.

Compatibility and installation limits: This is a single channel control for central heating or one zone, not a two channel heating and hot water programmer. The timer’s stated upper ambient temperature differs between technical documents: +40°C in the installation instructions and +50°C in the product sheet. Keep the installation within the manual’s 0°C to +40°C operating range.

Flexible thermostat positioning: Use the supplied wall mounting plate or table stand. Typical RF range inside a home is 15m, depending on building construction and interference. The thermostat and timer require pairing during installation.

Does the timer need mains wiring?

Yes. The timer requires a 220-240V AC mains supply and fixed wiring. The room thermostat uses two AA batteries and communicates wirelessly with the timer, so it does not need a cable back to the timer.

Can it control heating and hot water separately?

No. The TM7RF  has one channel, configured for central heating or one zone. It does not provide two independently programmed channels for separate heating and hot-water schedules.

Can I set different heating times for different days?

What does Optimum Start do?
