Neomitis 230V 2 Port Zone Valve Actuator Head | MTVH2A | Spring Return

Description

The Neomitis MTVH2A Replacement Actuator Head is a practical repair solution for compatible 2 port spring return motorised zone valves. Designed for use with Neomitis MTV222A and MTV228A valve bodies in 22mm or 28mm compression installations, it allows the actuator to be replaced without draining down the heating system.

Ideal for central heating and domestic hot water applications, this replacement head helps restore dependable zone control while avoiding the cost and disruption of replacing the complete valve. It operates at 230V~ 50Hz, uses only 6W, and includes a 1m five core cable with industry standard colour coded wiring.

Safety and installation: Electrical work must be carried out by a competent person in accordance with the current edition of BS 7671. The heating system must be appropriately fused, all controls must be earthed, and the supply must include a means of disconnection with at least 3mm contact separation in all poles.

Compatibility check: This actuator head is intended for Neomitis MTV222A and MTV228A 2 port spring return motorised valves. It is not a universal actuator and should not be fitted to valves from other manufacturers unless the manufacturer confirms compatibility.

Convenient maintenance: The actuator can be replaced without draining the system, helping reduce downtime and making it a sensible choice for routine heating system repairs.

Key Features

No Need to Drain Down

The replaceable actuator can be removed and refitted without draining the heating system, helping to save time during maintenance.

Spring Return Operation

The spring return mechanism returns the valve to its normally closed position when power is removed.

Manual Lever

A manual lever assists with filling and draining the system, providing practical control during commissioning and servicing.

Low Power Use

With a low 6W power consumption, the actuator supports efficient everyday operation of the heating control system.

Standard Wiring

The 1m five core cable uses industry standard colour coded conductors for straightforward connection to compatible controls.

Heating and Hot Water Use

Suitable for central heating and domestic hot water systems, with fluid temperatures from +5°C to +80°C.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which valves does this actuator head fit?

The MTVH2A is designed for Neomitis MTV222A and MTV228A 2 port spring return motorised zone valves with 22mm or 28mm compression connections.

Can I replace the actuator without draining the system?

Yes. The actuator is replaceable without draining down the heating system, making it a convenient repair option when the valve body remains serviceable.

What voltage does the actuator require?

It requires a 230V~ 50Hz supply and consumes 6W. The supply must be correctly fused, earthed, and include a suitable means of electrical disconnection.

Does it have a manual override?

Yes, the actuator includes a manual lever for filling and draining the system. After servicing, release the lever and allow it to return to the AUTO position; do not force its travel by hand.

Is this suitable for hot water cylinders?

The actuator is suitable for central heating and domestic hot water systems, with a fluid temperature range of +5°C to +80°C. Always confirm that the complete valve assembly and system design are appropriate for the intended application.
