The Mixergy Commercial (COM) range is purpose-built for demanding commercial buildings such as offices, hotels, schools, healthcare sites, leisure centres and stadia, where hot water demand is rarely constant. Available from 300 litres up to 2,000 litres, every size in the range uses Mixergy's patented top-down heating and precision-level sensor strip to store and heat only the water actually needed, rather than keeping a full tank hot around the clock, while remaining compatible with electric immersion, heat pumps, VRF heat recovery, and boiler-fed plate heat exchangers.
All sizes in this large-format commercial cylinder range are not held as standard stock. Current manufacturer lead time is approximately 6 weeks from order confirmation across the range. These are large commercial pressurised hot water systems and must be installed and commissioned by a suitably qualified commercial installer in accordance with the manufacturer's installation and servicing manual and relevant building and water regulations. Incorrect installation can be dangerous and will invalidate the warranty.
The Commercial (COM) series is immersion-heated as standard, with an optional external plate heat exchanger available across the range to connect the cylinder to a heat pump, VRF heat-recovery system, or boiler circuit. Connection sizes and immersion power scale with cylinder size — check the variant table below and confirm your intended heat source before ordering, as this affects the connection kit supplied.
A precision-level sensor strip tracks exactly how much hot water is stored and at what temperature, removing the guesswork that leads most commercial cylinders to be oversized "just in case" — reducing standing losses without risking a shortfall at peak times, at any capacity in the range.
Rather than reheating the full stored volume on every demand cycle, each cylinder heats only what's required, which is particularly valuable in buildings like offices and schools where occupancy and hot water demand swing sharply through the day.
Works with direct electric immersion, air-source or ground-source heat pumps, VRF heat recovery, or boiler circuits via an optional plate heat exchanger — giving specifiers a single cylinder platform that can support a phased move away from gas across a whole site.
Connects to building management systems via Modbus TCP and supports Demand Side Response (DSR), allowing larger sites to shift heating load around tariff and grid signals — turning stored hot water into a source of recurring revenue rather than just a cost centre.
Built-in auto-cleansing cycles periodically heat the full cylinder volume and log the results, giving facilities teams verifiable, time-stamped evidence of pasteurisation for water hygiene compliance — without manual intervention, regardless of cylinder size.
Every cylinder in the range is manufactured from duplex stainless steel for resistance to pitting and chloride-related corrosion, supporting a 25-year warranty even under continuous high-demand commercial duty cycles.
