The LONGi Hi-MO X10 LR7-54HVD-485M is a 485 W n-type back-contact solar panel built on LONGi's HPBC 2.0 (Hybrid Passivated Back Contact) cell technology. With no grid lines on the front of the cell, it delivers a module efficiency of 23.8% and a power density of 238 W/m², so more kilowatts fit onto the same roof area.
The dual glass, bifacial construction (2.0 mm front glass and 1.6 mm rear glass) lets the module also generate from light reaching its back face, with a bifaciality of 70 ± 5%. Combined with the black anodised aluminium frame, the 108 half-cut cells and the anti-shading design that limits localised overheating, it suits premium residential roofs and ground-mount or flat-roof arrays where rear-side gain is available. The panel is backed by a 30-year linear performance warranty.

Safety and compliance
Solar arrays produce dangerous DC voltage whenever the modules are illuminated. Installation must be carried out by a competent installer in line with BS 7671 and the manufacturer's installation manual. Grid-connected systems must be notified to the DNO under G98 or G99, and MCS installations should use the module's MCS product certificate (BABT17012-1040-485W).
Compatibility: size strings with the cold-weather Voc
Open-circuit voltage is 40.64 V at STC with a Voc temperature coefficient of -0.200%/°C, so it rises in cold weather (about 43.5 V per panel at -10 °C). Check the inverter's maximum DC input voltage and current limits. As a bifacial module, rear-side gain raises Isc and Imp, so allow for it when sizing cables, optimisers or microinverters, and keep within the 30 A maximum series fuse rating.
Warranty note
The 30-year performance warranty guarantees at least 99% of nominal power in year 1, then no more than 0.35% decline per year, reaching at least 88.85% by year 30 (front side output). The product (materials and workmanship) warranty period depends on the LONGi warranty edition, so please check the warranty certificate supplied with your order.
In the box and on the pallet
Panels are supplied on pallets of 36 modules (216 per 20' container, 864 per 40' HC). Frame colour is black with a white rear appearance, and the junction box is rated IP68.
Key features
HPBC 2.0 back contact cells
A gridless front surface removes busbar shading, lifting efficiency to 23.8% and giving a clean, uniform appearance.
Bifacial dual glass
Glass on both sides with 70 ± 5% bifaciality captures reflected and diffuse light on the rear, ideal over light-coloured roofs, gravel or ground-mount arrays.
Anti-shading protection
Designed to manage shading and prevent localised overheating, with BC cells running at a lower operating temperature and a Pmax coefficient of -0.260%/°C.
30-year power warranty
At least 99% in year 1, then a maximum 0.35% annual decline, with at least 88.85% guaranteed at year 30.
Built for UK weather
IP68 junction box, operating range of -40 °C to +85 °C, IEC fire rating Class C, tested against 25 mm hail at 23 m/s.
Compact 485 W format
1800 x 1134 x 30 mm and 23.5 kg, with a 238 W/m² power density that maximises output on limited roof space.

Frequently asked questions
What does bifacial mean, and how much extra energy will I get?
A bifacial module generates power from both faces. This panel has a bifaciality of 70 ± 5%, and the manufacturer publishes electrical values for 5% to 25% rear-side gain. The actual gain depends on ground or roof reflectivity, mounting height and tilt, so it is highest over light surfaces and with clearance behind the panel.
What is HPBC 2.0 and why are there no grid lines on the front?
HPBC 2.0 is LONGi's second-generation Hybrid Passivated Back Contact cell. All metal contacts sit on the rear of the cell, so the front surface has no busbars or fingers to block light. That improves efficiency and gives the panel a uniform, premium look.
How do I size strings with a 40.64 V open circuit voltage?
Calculate the cold-weather Voc using the -0.200%/°C coefficient. At -10 °C, each panel is about 43.5 V (40.64 V x 1.07). Multiply by the number of panels in series and keep the result below the inverter's maximum DC input voltage, and below 1500 V system voltage. Also check the inverter's current limits, remembering that rear-side gain increases current.
What does the 30-year performance warranty cover?
LONGi guarantees at least 99% of nominal power in year 1, with annual decline of no more than 0.35% from year 2, giving at least 88.85% at year 30. It applies to the front-side output of the module. Product warranty terms are set out in the LONGi warranty certificate supplied with your order.
Is this panel MCS certified?
Yes. The MCS product certificate for this model is BABT17012-1040-485W. The panel is also certified to IEC 61215 and IEC 61730. Your installer must still be MCS certified for the installation itself to qualify.
What are the dimensions and how many panels come on a pallet?
Each panel measures 1800 x 1134 x 30 mm and weighs 23.5 kg. They are packed 36 per pallet, with 216 per 20' container and 864 per 40' HC container.
