The Livoltek iPower HES-5000 All-in-One Energy Storage System is a wall-mounted, integrated solar storage solution that combines a 5 kW single-phase hybrid inverter with one to five LiFePO4 (LFP) battery modules in a single slim enclosure. Starting from 5.12 kWh and scalable to 25.6 kWh by stacking up to five BLF51-5 battery modules, this plug-and-play system is engineered for UK homes and small commercial premises seeking to maximise solar self-consumption, reduce grid dependency, and maintain critical backup power during outages — all without sacrificing wall space or aesthetics.
Built around a fanless, natural-cooling design, the iPower HES-5000 operates in near-silence, making it equally at home in a utility room or garage. A dedicated Wi-Fi/Bluetooth dongle comes included in the box, giving installers and homeowners immediate access to the My Livoltek cloud portal for real-time monitoring, scheduling, remote diagnostics and firmware updates — all at no extra cost.
The iPower HES-5000 uses passive thermal management with no moving parts — eliminating fan noise, reducing wear, and extending the operational lifespan of internal components. Rated for continuous operation from –10°C to +55°C, it suits UK garages and utility rooms year-round.
With a max. PV input of 7,500 Wp against a 5 kW AC output, the inverter supports up to 150% PV oversizing. Dual MPPTs handle strings from different roof orientations simultaneously, capturing more energy during partial-shade periods and early-morning or late-afternoon sun angles typical in the UK.
Start with a single 5.12 kWh BLF51-5 module and expand by stacking up to four additional units — reaching 25.6 kWh without rewiring the inverter. Each module has its own IP65 enclosure, 100 Ah nominal capacity, and a BMS communicating with the inverter via CAN bus for coordinated charge management.
The built-in BMS performs active cell balancing and real-time temperature monitoring across all modules. This keeps cells at matched voltage levels throughout the charge cycle, maximising usable capacity and targeting over 6,000 charge cycles — equivalent to more than 16 years of daily cycling at 90% DoD.
When a grid fault is detected, the system switches to Emergency Power Supply (EPS) mode in under 10 milliseconds — fast enough that most household appliances will not register the interruption. Backed-up loads connect via a dedicated EPS circuit output at 220 Vac / 50 Hz pure sine wave.
Schedule battery charging and discharging by tariff period to take full advantage of Octopus Agile, Economy 7, or any multi-rate tariff. Pair with the CT sensor (included) and optional smart meter to enable precise zero-export / export-limited operation — essential for DNO compliance in many UK installations.
The entire unit — inverter and battery modules — mounts on a single bracket assembly supplied in the box. Finished dimensions with one battery module are 415 × 1,380 × 165 mm, requiring as little as 300 mm clearance on all sides. A slim 165 mm depth keeps it flush to the wall in tight spaces.
Both on-grid and EPS outputs deliver a pure sinusoidal waveform with THDi below 3% under rated load — safe for sensitive electronics, variable-speed motors, and medical equipment. Power factor is adjustable from 0.8 leading to 0.8 lagging, providing compatibility with a wide range of UK load profiles.
