The Kidde K10LLCO 10 Year Carbon Monoxide Alarm provides dependable protection against the hidden dangers of carbon monoxide (CO) in homes, rental properties and trade installations. Its sealed-in 10 year lithium battery delivers continuous monitoring for the full life of the alarm, with no battery changes required. The compact, lightweight design suits wall or ceiling mounting, or free standing use on a shelf or table.
Designed for everyday peace of mind, this battery powered CO alarm uses a water based electrochemical sensor to detect carbon monoxide and sounds a loud 85dB alarm when dangerous levels are detected. Clear LED status indicators, an alarm memory function and a test/reset button make it simple to check, test and maintain.
Safety notice: Carbon monoxide is colourless and odourless. This alarm is a valuable warning device, but it does not replace regular servicing of fuel-burning appliances, correct ventilation or professional inspection by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
Installation guidance: Fit the alarm in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and applicable UK guidance. Do not install directly above or beside fuel-burning appliances, and avoid areas of high humidity, extreme temperatures or obstructed airflow.
Useful information: The built-in alarm memory flashes a red LED every 60 seconds after a CO event has occurred, helping identify a previous carbon monoxide incident even after the alarm has stopped sounding.
10 Year Sealed Battery
The non replaceable sealed lithium battery is designed to last for the alarm’s full 10 year service life, removing the need for battery replacement.
Electrochemical CO Sensor
A water based Kidde electrochemical sensor provides targeted carbon monoxide detection for reliable everyday protection.
Loud 85dB Warning
When CO is detected, the alarm produces a loud 85dB audible warning to help alert occupants quickly.
Clear LED Status Indicators
Three LEDs show alarm, operate and fault conditions, making the alarm’s status easy to understand at a glance.
Alarm Memory Function
A red LED flashes every 60 seconds to indicate that a previous CO event has been recorded.
Flexible Installation
Suitable for wall or ceiling mounting, or free standing placement, making it practical for homes, landlords and trade projects.
How long does the Kidde K10LLCO battery last?
The alarm is powered by a sealed-in lithium battery designed to last for the full 10 year life of the unit. The battery cannot be replaced, so the complete alarm should be replaced when it reaches end of life.
Where should I install this carbon monoxide alarm?
It can be wall or ceiling mounted, or placed free standing on a table or shelf. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for placement, keeping it away from fuel burning appliances, direct drafts, excessive humidity and areas where airflow may be restricted.
What does the alarm memory indicator mean?
If a carbon monoxide event has occurred, the red LED will flash every 60 seconds. This helps show that CO was previously detected, even after the audible alarm has stopped.
Is the Kidde K10LLCO suitable for landlords and trade use?
Yes. Its compact design, 10 year sealed battery, LED status indicators and BSI certification to EN 50291-1:2018 make it a practical choice for homeowners, landlords, installers and property maintenance professionals.
How do I test the alarm?
Use the test/reset button to check that the alarm is operating correctly. Regular testing is recommended in line with the manufacturer’s instructions.
When should the alarm be replaced?
Replace the complete alarm when it reaches its 10 year end of life period or when the unit indicates a fault that cannot be resolved. Do not attempt to replace the sealed internal battery.
