The Inta Trade-Tec Pressure Reducing Valve with Gauge stabilises incoming mains or boosted water pressure to a safe, consistent level, protecting downstream pipework, fittings and appliances from the damage and noise that high or fluctuating pressure can cause. Machined from DZR brass for long-term resistance to dezincification, the valve is factory pre-set to 3 bar and field-adjustable across a 0.5 to 6 bar range using a simple flat-head screwdriver, with an integrated gauge for accurate, at-a-glance monitoring while setting.
An in-line strainer is built in to catch debris before it reaches the internal mechanism, and the valve can be fitted vertically or horizontally to suit the pipe run. Supplied with 15mm compression connections as standard, the 22mm model additionally includes 15mm reducing adaptors for straightforward compatibility with either pipe size. WRAS approved and manufactured to BS EN 1254-2, it is suitable for both hot and cold water services in domestic, commercial and industrial installations, and is backed by a 2-year manufacturer's warranty.

Please Note: An independent in-line filter or strainer must be fitted upstream of the valve to protect the internal mechanism, and the water supply should be thoroughly flushed before installation. Skipping this step can affect performance and may void the manufacturer's warranty.
Good to Know: Where the ratio between upstream and downstream pressure exceeds 2.5:1, cavitation noise and premature wear can occur. In high pressure-drop situations, fitting two valves in series (each handling part of the pressure reduction) resolves this cleanly.

What does a pressure reducing valve do?

What is the factory-set pressure, and can it be changed?
The valve leaves the factory pre-set to 3 bar. It can be adjusted anywhere between 0.5 and 6 bar using a flat-head screwdriver on the adjuster at the top of the spring housing, while reading the fitted gauge to confirm the new setting.
Does the 22mm version fit 15mm pipework too?
Yes. The PRVG22 is supplied with 15mm reducing adaptors, so the same valve body can be installed directly onto either 15mm or 22mm compression pipework.
Can it be installed in any orientation?
Yes, the valve can be fitted either vertically or horizontally, giving flexibility when planning pipe runs in tight spaces.
Is a separate strainer or filter needed?
The valve has its own built-in, serviceable strainer, but Inta also recommends fitting an independent in-line filter upstream to protect the mechanism, particularly in older systems where debris may be present in the pipework.
