The Honeywell Home T6R-HW is a wireless smart thermostat with dedicated hot water control, designed to bring app-based scheduling and location-aware comfort to central heating and stored hot water systems. Supplied as a table-stand thermostat paired with a 2-channel wireless receiver box, it gives you independent time and temperature programmes for heating and hot water from the same unit — controllable from the thermostat itself, the Honeywell Home app, or your voice assistant.
Using Adaptive Fuzzy Logic control and full OpenTherm® compatibility, the T6R-HW learns how your home heats up and automatically fine-tunes start and stop times to hit your target temperature exactly when you need it — without wasting energy getting there too early.

This is the T6R-HW variant (model Y6H920RW4026), which adds a dedicated hot water schedule with boost function on top of heating control. It is suitable for Sundial S, Y and W plan stored hot water systems (on/off switching). If you only need heating control with no hot water cylinder, the standard T6R (without "-HW") is the simpler alternative.
Please Note
Compatible with 24–230V on/off boilers, OpenTherm® combi boilers, heat pumps, and zone valve systems. It is not suitable for electric heating (240V) or systems without a compatible wiring centre / zone valve setup.

2-channel receiver box
Handles both heating and hot water switching, with clear LED status indicators and manual override buttons for each channel. A flip-up wiring platform allows wiring from the back or bottom.
Frost protection built in
The OFF position holds an integral minimum 5°C frost protection setpoint, so pipes are protected even when the system is switched off.
Flexible mounting
The receiver box mounts directly to a wall or onto a standard wall box; the thermostat itself simply sits on its supplied table stand — no wiring required at the thermostat location.
Configurable for your appliance
Installer-level Advanced Menu settings cover cycle rate, minimum ON time, heat range limits and system type, so the thermostat can be tuned to gas boilers, oil boilers, thermal actuators or zone valves.

Does the T6R-HW control hot water as well as heating?
Yes — unlike the standard T6R, the T6R-HW includes a separate hot water schedule with up to 3 ON periods per day and a boost function, in addition to full heating control.
What hot water systems is it compatible with?
It is designed for Sundial S, Y and W plan stored hot water systems using on/off cylinder switching. It does not control OpenTherm® combi boiler internal hot water storage directly.
Can I use this with an electric boiler or electric heating?
No. The T6R-HW is rated for 24–230V on/off, OpenTherm® and heat pump systems, but is not suitable for 240V electric heating circuits.
How far can the thermostat be from the receiver box?
