The Homely Smart Controller with Samsung Modbus Interface is the complete kit needed to bring smart, self-optimising control to a Samsung air source heat pump. It bundles the Homely Hub, a Homely wireless temperature Node, and the Samsung MIM-B19N Modbus interface module, so the heat pump's proprietary NASA communication protocol can talk directly to the Homely platform.
Unlike Homely's generic Hub + Node kit, this bundle is specifically built for Samsung EHS, HE and HT heat pumps, which require a Modbus gateway to expose their internal registers. Once fitted, Homely takes over weather compensation, learns the property's heating characteristics, and gives installers remote monitoring, diagnostics and parameter access via Connect Pro without a return site visit.

Homely Hub
The main smart controller that connects to the internet, the Homely cloud platform and the Homely app. Auto-updates and drives the weather compensation and optimisation logic for the system.
|
Homely Wireless Temperature Node
A battery-powered wireless sensor (CR2450, replaceable) that reports room temperature, humidity and light intensity back to the Hub over a 868MHz radio link, typically effective within about 16m of the Hub.
|
Samsung MIM-B19N Modbus Interface
A dedicated Modbus RTU gateway module that mounts to the outdoor unit and translates Samsung's internal NASA (R1/R2) protocol into standard Modbus registers the Homely Hub can read and write.
|
Installation Manual & Accessories
Includes the 3-pin barrel jack power supply (5V, 1A) for the Hub, Hub and Node adhesive mounting pads, and full wiring/commissioning documentation.
|
No More Manual Weather Curves
Homely's algorithms take over weather compensation tuning automatically, removing the trial-and-error of setting Samsung's own flow temperature curves.
|
Remote Diagnostics with Connect Pro
2 years of Connect Pro are included, giving installers live and historic data, over-the-air parameter changes and fault diagnosis from the office.
|
Fewer Callbacks
Because settings can be adjusted remotely and the system self-tunes, installers see fewer return visits for comfort complaints or curve adjustments.
|
App Control for Homeowners
Homeowners get schedule control, hot water boost and mode switching from the Homely smartphone app, without needing to understand Samsung's own controller menus.
|
Centralised BMS-Style Access
The MIM-B19N exposes up to 48 indoor units and 4 outdoor units per module over Modbus, so the same interface can also feed a wider building management system if required.
|
Retrofit or New Build
The kit is retrofit-compatible and can be added to an existing Samsung installation or specified from the outset on a new heat pump project.
