The Heatrae Sadia Hotflo 50L Vertical is a 3kW electric unvented water heater designed for light commercial installations — canteens, washrooms and commercial kitchens — where a wall-mounted vertical footprint suits the available plant space better than a horizontal cylinder.
Manufactured from high-grade duplex stainless steel, the Hotflo 50–100 litre range is fully ErP-compliant and Nemko/Kiwa approved to UK Water Supply Regulations, giving a straightforward, code-compliant install for facilities without a gas supply.

Water Heating Efficiency
Duplex Stainless Steel Construction
The inner container is duplex stainless steel, chosen for its high resistance to pitting and stress corrosion cracking under continuous commercial use — a step up from mild steel construction.
Vertical Wall-Mounted Footprint
At 1007mm tall and 371 x 350mm in plan, the vertical orientation suits installations with limited floor space or where wall-mounting above head height is preferred.
Factory-Fitted Safety Valve
Supplied with a 90°C / 10 bar Temperature/Pressure Relief Valve (part 7037716) factory-fitted, reducing on-site commissioning time.
ErP Compliant Across the Range
Fully compliant with EU Regulations 814/2013 and 812/2013, with a declared water heating efficiency of 38.4% and annual electricity consumption of 1,338 kWh.
Multi-Outlet Rated
Sized to serve multiple simultaneous outlets — ideal for busy washroom blocks or catering prep sinks where more than one tap may be drawing hot water at once.
Nemko & Kiwa Approved
Approved to UK Water Supply Regulations and CE marked, giving installers a straightforward compliance path for commercial specification.

What's the difference between the Hotflo 50L and the Multipoint Eco 50L?
Both are 3kW, 50 litre unvented heaters from Heatrae Sadia, but the Multipoint Eco range adds a SMART digital learning thermostat and a larger factory-fitted expansion vessel, whereas the Hotflo range uses a simpler fixed thermostat set at 54°C — making Hotflo the more cost-effective choice where advanced controls aren't required.
Is the vertical or horizontal Hotflo 50L better for my install?
Functionally they're identical in output and efficiency. Choose vertical for tight floor space or high-level wall mounting, and horizontal where ceiling height is restricted, such as under a work surface or in a shallow service void.
Does the Hotflo 50L need a cold water tank?
No. It's a fully unvented water heater fed directly from the mains, so no cistern is required.
What accessories are supplied?
The unit is supplied with a factory-fitted Temperature/Pressure Relief Valve. An expansion vessel and non-return valve should be fitted per the installation manual depending on your mains pressure conditions.
Can it serve a shower?
The Hotflo range is designed for multi-outlet tap and basin applications rather than showers.
