Description

The Fox ESS EPS Box Pro HC-G2 is a three-phase backup box that sits between the grid, your Fox ESS inverter and your protected loads, so the home can keep running through a power cut. It automatically switches between On-Grid and Off-Grid state, with no manual changeover needed when the mains drops out or returns.

Built for residential power systems, the HC-G2 is rated for a maximum input current of 100A per phase on the utility supply and 100A per phase on the load output, with 63A per phase on the inverter grid and inverter EPS connections. It is housed in a robust IP65-rated enclosure, is wall-mounted, and is naturally cooled, so there are no fans to maintain.

It is compatible with the Fox ESS H3 Pro, AIO-H3, H3, H3 Smart, PQ3 and PQ3-Plus three-phase inverter ranges, and communicates with the system meter over an RS-485 interface.

Installation and safety

Installation must be carried out by a competent, suitably qualified electrician in accordance with BS 7671 and the manufacturer’s installation manual. Isolate all supplies before opening the enclosure. Any connected generation or storage must be notified to the network operator under G98 / G99 as applicable.
