Description

The Eleven Energy Volta 235mm Battery-Battery Parallel Cable Set is the short power link for connecting two Volta 4.5 kWh sodium-ion battery packs in parallel. At 235 mm long, it is made for packs sitting close together, either side by side or stacked, so the battery bank stays compact and tidy.

Paralleling Volta packs lets the system grow in capacity: up to eight packs can be connected for 33.12 kWh of usable capacity, with each pack identified by its own DIP switch setting. These short cables are the right choice where packs are adjacent; they are not for packs housed in separate enclosures.

Safety: Power off the inverter and every battery before connecting. Never connect or disconnect battery cables while the inverter is operating. Do not connect Volta packs in series; they must be paralleled only. Observe correct polarity, and fit an earth bond between all batteries and the inverter. Installation must be carried out by a qualified, UK-registered electrician in accordance with BS 7671 (18th Edition).

Same state of charge: When connecting two or more batteries, all packs must be at the same State of Charge (SoC). Each pack must also be given a unique DIP switch setting (single pack: all OFF).

Stacking: Eleven Energy states that battery packs must not be stacked directly on top of each other, and supplies a stacking kit with each pack. Use the stacking kit as shown in the installation manual when arranging packs for these short cables.

Power links only: This listing covers the power cables. Parallel packs also share a communication data link between the RS485-2 ports; confirm the data cable you need separately.

Compatibility: For use with Eleven Energy Volta sodium-ion batteries only. The manufacturer states its battery packs must not be connected to any other brand of inverter or battery pack.
