Easee Type 2 EV Charging Cable 7.5m 32A 22kW | 90201

Description

The Easee Type 2 Charging Cable (90201) is a 7.5 m Mode 3 charging lead with a Type 2 connector at each end, designed to suit the Easee charger range and any Type 2 electric vehicle. It carries up to 32 A on single-phase or three-phase supplies, delivering up to 22 kW where the vehicle and installation allow, with a matte black handle and cord that matches the charger’s styling.

The generous 7.5 m length means you no longer need to worry about which way you park. The cable can also be permanently locked in the Easee charger, so it stays put and is protected against theft, making it equally suited to home driveways, shared parking and commercial sites.

Safety

Use only with Mode 3 Type 2 sockets. Do not use the cable if the connectors, sheath or locking pins are damaged, and have the charger installation carried out by a competent electrician in line with BS 7671.

Charging speed depends on the whole system

The charge rate is set by the lowest of the charger, the vehicle’s onboard charger and the cable rating. 22 kW needs a three-phase supply and a vehicle that accepts three-phase AC; on a single-phase supply the cable delivers up to 7.4 kW.

Charger and cable sold separately

This listing is for the charging cable only. Easee chargers are ordered separately.

Frequently asked questions

Is this cable compatible with my car?

Yes, if your vehicle has a Type 2 charging inlet, which covers most electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles sold in the UK and Europe.

Will it charge at 22 kW?

Only if you have a three-phase supply, a charger set up for it, and a vehicle whose onboard charger accepts 22 kW. Many cars are limited to 7.4 kW or 11 kW, which is a vehicle limit, not a cable limit.

Can I use it on a single-phase supply?

Yes. The cable is rated for 32 A on single or three phase; on single phase the maximum is 7.4 kW.

Can the cable be locked to the charger?

Yes. It is designed so it can be permanently locked in the Easee charger, which keeps it secure and prevents theft.

Can I use it outdoors?

Yes. It has an IP54 rating for splash protection. It is not designed to be left submerged, and the rating drops to IP44 when connected.

Where can I store the cable?

On an Easee Base post, integrated cable hooks are available on 1-way and 2-way setups, keeping the 7.5 m lead off the ground.
