Give your EV charger a fresh look without replacing it. The Easee Charger Front Cover with Type 2 Socket Cap is a genuine replacement front cover for the Easee Home, Easee One and Easee Charge wallbox, available in four colours: white, anthracite, red and blue. Pick the finish that matches your car, your house or your building, or swap out a scuffed or damaged cover for a fresh one.

Every cover is supplied with a matching socket cap and is swapped using the removal tool supplied with the charger, then secured by the locking screw at the base. There is no rewiring and the charger itself is untouched. The Easee Home and Easee Charge are fitted with a black cover as standard, so this cover is the way to move to white, anthracite, red or blue.

Safety: isolate the supply first

Easee states that its charger must only be installed, repaired or serviced by an authorised electrician in line with local regulations. With the front cover removed, the backplate is only IP22, so switch the supply off at the consumer unit before opening the charger and refit the cover and locking screw fully before re-energising.

This product is a front cover with socket cap only. The charger (Chargeberry and backplate), cable and mounting are not included. It is designed for the Easee Home, Easee One and Easee Charge; please check your model before ordering.

How do I change the front cover?

First isolate the supply at the consumer unit. Bend down the lower rubber cover and insert the two prongs of the supplied tool into the two openings at the bottom of the cover, then pull until the cover comes loose. Hang the new cover on the top of the backplate, let it fall into place, press the bottom until it clicks, bend the rubber cover down, fit the locking screw and close the rubber cover.

Does the cover need to be fitted by an electrician?

Easee states that the charger must only be installed, repaired or serviced by an authorised electrician. Opening the charger exposes the backplate, so we recommend that a qualified electrician carries out or approves the swap.

Does changing the cover affect the weather protection?

The charger is specified as IP54 with its front cover fitted, and the backplate alone is IP22. Make sure the new cover is fully clicked into place and the locking screw is fitted so the charger is closed up correctly.
