The Drayton Wiser Temperature & Humidity Sensor (CCT593012) is a compact, battery-powered Zigbee 3.0 sensor that reports room temperature and relative humidity to your Wiser system. Pair it with any Wiser 2nd Generation Hub and every reading appears in the Wiser Home app, ready to feed heating decisions and smart home automations.
It is Drayton's discreet, low-cost alternative to the Wiser Room Thermostat: ideal for rooms where you want accurate readings without a display or buttons on the wall. Because it also measures humidity, it adds humidity-based automations that a standard thermostat cannot offer. For example, you can link it with other Wiser devices such as the Wiser Plug, Room Thermostats and Radiator Thermostats to react to changing conditions.
Powered by a single CR2450 coin cell with up to 5 years of battery life, the sensor needs no wiring. Fix it with the supplied base plate, screws and wall plugs, or use the adhesive pad for a screw-free fit. It also works with Amazon Alexa, Google Home and IFTTT, so it slots straight into an existing smart home setup.

Compatibility: Wiser 2nd Generation Hub required
This sensor connects to any Wiser 2nd Generation Hub (1, 2 or 3 channel HubR, or the Non-relay 2nd Generation Hub). It is not compatible with the Wiser 1st Generation HubR and cannot work on its own. The hub is sold separately.
Using the sensor as the heating temperature source
In the Wiser Home app you can set the sensor as the temperature source for a room, so its readings help control the heating. This option is only available where a compatible Wiser heating device is installed in that room, for example a Wiser Radiator Thermostat. When several temperature devices share a room, the system averages their readings.
Indoor, dry-location use only
The sensor is rated IP20 and its humidity range is 10% to 95% non-condensing. Do not fit it where it can be splashed or where water can condense on it, such as inside a shower enclosure or directly above a bath.
Accuracy at a glance
Temperature accuracy is ±1.5°C with 0.1°C resolution, and humidity accuracy is ±5%. For the most representative readings, position the sensor away from direct heat sources, draughts and direct sunlight.
Key Features
Dual temperature & humidity sensing
Two sensors in one unit measure temperature and humidity where it is installed. View real-time values and device history in the Wiser Home app.
Room Thermostat alternative
A discreet, cost-effective option for rooms where app-based control is enough. Set it as the room’s temperature source alongside a compatible Wiser heating device.
Automations & Moments
Create automations and Moments in the Wiser Home app that pair the sensor with other Wiser devices to act on temperature- and humidity-related events.
Up to 5-year battery life
A CR2450 3 V coin cell delivers up to 5 years of operation, depending on usage, firmware update frequency and environment. Replacing it takes minutes.
Simple, wire-free installation
Mount with screws and wall plugs or the adhesive pad on the supplied base plate. No wiring required, and the slim 17.2 mm profile stays unobtrusive.
Zigbee 3.0 & smart home ready
Zigbee 3.0 certified communication with the Wiser hub, up to 40 m in free air. Works with Amazon Alexa, Google Home and IFTTT.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which Wiser hubs does the sensor work with?
It works with any Wiser 2nd Generation Hub: the 1, 2 and 3 channel 2nd Generation HubR and the Non-relay 2nd Generation Hub. It is not compatible with the Wiser 1st Generation HubR. The hub is sold separately.
Can it replace a Wiser Room Thermostat?
It is Drayton’s low-cost, discreet alternative for rooms where app control is enough. The sensor can be set as the room’s temperature source when a compatible Wiser heating device, such as a Radiator Thermostat, is installed there. The Wiser Room Thermostat adds a colour display and touch buttons on the wall, which the sensor does not have, so choose the thermostat if you want on-wall control.
What can I automate with it?
In the Wiser Home app you can create automations and Moments that pair the sensor with other Wiser devices to act on temperature- and humidity-related events. For example, you could link it with a Wiser Plug, or with Room and Radiator Thermostats.
Can I use it in a bathroom?
It can monitor the humidity of the room, but it is rated IP20 with a humidity range of 10% to 95% non-condensing. Mount it where it cannot be splashed or wetted, and away from showers and baths. If you are unsure about a location, ask a qualified installer.
How long does the battery last and how do I replace it?
The CR2450 battery lasts up to 5 years, depending on usage, firmware update frequency and environment. To replace it, slide the sensor up off its base plate, unscrew the battery cover, fit the new cell with the correct polarity and refit the cover. The LED blinks green seven times, then you slide the sensor back onto the base plate.
How is it installed, and what is its range?
There is no wiring. Fix the base plate with the supplied screws and wall plugs or the adhesive pad, then pair the sensor with your hub using the Wiser Home app. The sensor links to the hub over Zigbee, up to 40 m in free air, although walls and floors will reduce this. Mains-powered Wiser devices such as the Wiser Plug include a built-in range extender for devices further from the hub.
