The Drayton Wiser Smart Smoke Alarm (CCT599002) is a battery-powered, photoelectric smoke alarm with a built-in heat sensor that joins your Wiser 2nd Generation system over Zigbee. When it detects smoke or a rapid rise in temperature it sounds an 85 dB alarm and sends an instant alert to your phone through the Wiser Home app, so you know about a problem whether you are in the property or away from it.
There is no wiring to run: the alarm has a sealed lithium 3 V battery and fixes to a flat ceiling, inclined ceiling or wall with the supplied base. It is rated EN 14604:2005+AC:2008 and is specified as a BS 5839 Grade F1 battery-operated smoke alarm. The local alarm works on its own, and with a Wiser 2nd Generation Hub you add remote alerts, status monitoring, test from the app and alarm history, with no subscription fee.
Up to 40 Wiser smoke alarms can be linked in one network, and they can be interconnected over 868 MHz RF even without a Hub, so one alarm triggers the rest.

Replace from manufacture date
Safety and replacement
The battery is sealed and non-replaceable. Do not recharge, open or burn the alarm. Test it monthly by pressing the Test/Hush button for more than 3 seconds (never with a naked flame), and replace the whole alarm 10 years after its manufacture date. If the low-battery beep starts, replace the alarm within 30 days.
Hub required for smartphone alerts
Phone notifications and Wiser Home app functions need a Wiser 2nd Generation Hub (sold separately). This alarm is for 2nd Generation systems only. Without a Hub it still sounds its local audible alarm and can be interconnected with other Wiser smoke alarms.
Where to fit it
Do not install in garages, kitchens, bathrooms or areas with high moisture, dirt or insects, and keep it more than 1 m from air-conditioning or heater vents, fans and electrical sources. Leave the dust cover on until all building work is finished to avoid false alarms.
Works standalone
The alarm sounds locally whether or not the Hub or internet is available. Zigbee connectivity adds remote notification; it does not replace the local alarm.
Key Features
Instant app alerts
Smoke or heat detection triggers a push notification in the Wiser Home app, giving you remote awareness at home or away.
Smoke and heat sensing
A photoelectric smoke sensor is paired with a temperature sensor that responds to a rapid rise in heat. The alarm contains no radioactive material.
Sealed battery, no wiring
Lithium 3 V sealed battery with no mains wiring needed. Screw-fix to the supplied base on a flat ceiling, inclined ceiling or wall.
Interconnect without a Hub
Link up to 40 alarms over 868 MHz RF using the Primary label and a simple button sequence, so every alarm sounds together.
Remote status, test and history
From the app you can silence the alarm, check device status, run tests from the Control Panel and view alarm history.
Hush and alarm memory
A 10-minute hush silences nuisance alarms, and in an interconnected group the alarm memory LED flags which unit was triggered for up to 72 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the alarm still sound if I have no Hub or internet?
Yes. The local 85 dB alarm works independently. A Wiser 2nd Generation Hub is only needed for smartphone notifications and Wiser Home app functions.
Is it mains powered or battery powered?
It is battery powered with a sealed lithium 3 V battery, so no mains wiring is needed. The battery cannot be changed; when it runs low, replace the whole alarm.
How often should I test it and when should it be replaced?
Test monthly by pressing the Test/Hush button for more than 3 seconds until the alarm sounds. In a mobile home, test weekly and before every journey. Replace the alarm 10 years after its manufacture date.
Can I link several alarms together?
Yes. Up to 40 Wiser smoke alarms can be linked in one network. They can also be interconnected over RF without a Hub: mark one unit with the Primary label, then press Test/Hush three times within 2 seconds on the primary and on each secondary unit while they are close together.
How do I silence a nuisance alarm?
Identify the unit with the blinking red LED and short-press Test/Hush, or silence it from the Wiser Home app. The alarm is then insensitive for 10 minutes before returning to normal. If it keeps alarming without smoke, clean it and refit it.
Where should I not fit it?
Avoid garages, kitchens, bathrooms and any damp, dusty or insect-prone area, and keep it more than 1 m away from air-conditioning or heater vents and fans. Do not paint the alarm.
