The DAB Evosta3 80/130 (part number 60193272) is a high-efficiency electronic wet-rotor circulator for domestic and residential heating and cooling systems. A permanent magnet synchronous motor with built-in frequency converter adapts pump speed to real system demand, delivering up to 8.0 m of head and 4.2 m³/h while drawing no more than 55 W.
The compact 130 mm port-to-port body with G 1½ threaded ports is designed to replace old three-speed circulators. Set-up takes a single Mode button, a display shows live head, flow and power, and IPX5 protection guards the electronics against water. Backed by a 5-year manufacturer warranty.

Why installers choose the Evosta3
The 80/130 is the higher-head version of the compact Evosta3 130 mm format. Choose it when a 60/130 runs short on head: larger houses, longer circuits or higher-resistance heating loops. It adds automatic degassing, a live display and nine selectable curves, so you can match the duty precisely instead of settling for a fixed three-speed step.
Check the fit before you order
This pump is 130 mm port-to-port with G 1½ (1½ inch BSP) male threads. The "1 inch" in DAB's model name is the nominal size. Measure your existing pump before ordering: a 180 mm pump needs the 80/180 instead. Fit the two gaskets when mounting and use new gaskets on any later service.
Installation and safety
Installation and wiring must be carried out by a competent person and comply with BS 7671. The pump must be earthed. Isolate the supply before working on it and wait for the panel lights to go out, as the internal capacitor stays charged after switch-off. The manufacturer recommends a correctly rated Class A residual current device. The pump body and fluid can cause scalding: drain or isolate both sides before removal. Never run the pump dry.
Key features
Nine operating modes
Three proportional pressure, three constant pressure and three constant curve settings, selected with one button and shown by LED indicators.
Live display
Shows instantaneous power in watts, head in metres, flow in m³/h and the selected curve, so commissioning needs no separate gauges.
Automatic degassing
Hold Mode for 3 seconds for a one-minute maximum-speed purge. A brass vent plug also gives direct access to the motor shaft.
IPX5 and self-protection
IPX5 rating plus built-in protection against overload, phase loss, excess temperature and over/under-voltage; dry-run alarm included.
Quiet, low energy
Sound level of 43 dB(A) or below and input capped at 55 W, with proportional pressure trimming speed as demand falls.
Ready to insulate
Insulation shells supplied with the Evosta3 cut heat loss from the pump body. The electronics box and control panel must stay uncovered.
Performance at a glance
Head available at each flow rate on the maximum curve of the 80/130:
Maximum-curve duty points at 1 mm²/s viscosity and 1000 kg/m³ density; tolerance to ISO 9906. Actual duty depends on the operating mode selected.

Frequently asked questions
Will it replace my existing three-speed circulator?
It is designed to. Measure your current pump's port-to-port length first: this model is 130 mm with G 1½ male threaded ports. If your pump is the same length and thread, it fits without altering pipework. Also confirm the head you need: this model delivers up to 8.0 m. DAB describes the Evosta3 range as a direct replacement for old three-speed circulators.
Which operating mode should I choose?
The pump ships in minimum proportional pressure (PP1). Per the installation manual, proportional pressure suits heating systems with high load losses; constant pressure suits systems with low load losses, single-pipe systems with thermostatic valves, and natural-circulation plants; constant curve (I, II, III) suits systems with constant flow. Press the single Mode button to step through all nine settings and use the display to check head, flow and power.
How do I vent the pump?
Always vent before starting; the pump must never run dry. On the Evosta3, hold the Mode button for 3 seconds to start automatic degassing: one minute at maximum speed, then it returns to your set mode. For manual venting, set maximum constant speed and unscrew the vent plug until the air is out. The same plug gives access to the shaft if the rotor needs freeing.
Can I use it with glycol or system inhibitors?
Yes, within limits. The liquid must be clean, free from solids and mineral oils, and chemically neutral, with up to 30% glycol. DAB advises against mixing hydrocarbon or aromatic-based additives into the circulating water. Flush the system with water at 80°C before fitting the pump.
Can it circulate domestic hot water?
No. This cast iron model is for heating and cooling circuits. Domestic (potable) water is only permitted on DAB's bronze-bodied versions.
What do the error codes mean?
The Evosta3 display flashes an alarm code: E1 dry run, E2 loss of motor control (for example a blocked rotor or disconnected phase), E3 short circuit, E4 software overrun, E5 safety module error. Isolate the power and check for air, a seized rotor or wiring faults; if a code persists, contact us with the model and code.
