Integrated Solar PV Function
Dedicated SG1/SG2 Smart Grid signal inputs allow the unit to detect surplus solar PV generation and automatically switch to a boosted heating mode — maximising self-consumption without requiring a separate immersion diverter device. The PV setpoint temperature is fully configurable.
Super Quiet — 48 dB(A)
Operates at just 48 dB(A) — quieter than the previous Nuos generation and comparable to a quiet office environment. An optional Night function reduces fan speed further for overnight operation, making it suitable for utility rooms near living or sleeping spaces.
Smart Operating Modes inc. i-Memory
Offers Green (heat pump only), Green+, Boost (heat pump + element simultaneously for fastest recovery), Comfort, i-Memory (learns four weeks of household hot water habits), weekly programme schedules, and an Anti-Legionella automatic thermal sanitisation cycle.
Titanshield Tank Protection
The enamelled steel tank features Titanshield anti-corrosion enamel technology combined with a replaceable sacrificial magnesium anode. The anode is accessible via a dedicated flange without draining the cylinder, keeping servicing quick and straightforward.
Wide Ambient Range: −10 °C to +42 °C
A hot-gas defrost valve prevents condenser freeze-up, allowing continuous heat pump operation down to −10 °C ambient. Maximum operating temperature is +42 °C, making it equally suited to warm plant rooms or loft installations. Below the heat pump range, the 1800 W backup element maintains hot water automatically.
BusBridgeNet System Integration
Compatible with Ariston BusBridgeNet — connects to Sensys HD controllers and other BusBridgeNet-enabled Ariston products (boilers, heat pumps, solar systems) over a single shared bus. This enables coordinated control of heating and domestic hot water from the Ariston Net app or a Sensys HD remote control.
Complete Unvented Kit Included
Supplied complete with a G3-compliant unvented safety kit — pressure reducing valve, expansion vessel, temperature and pressure relief valve (TPRV), combination PRV, and tundish — reducing installer procurement time and ensuring all safety components are correctly rated for this cylinder.
Flexible 150/160/200 mm Ducting
Air inlet and exhaust connections accept 150, 160, or 200 mm duct (PVC or PEHD) with up to 189 Pa available static pressure for long duct runs. Can also operate without ducting in rooms of at least 20 m³ — a significantly lower threshold than the previous 30 m³ generation requirement.
No F-Gas Qualification Required
The sealed R290 refrigerant circuit is factory-charged and does not require field handling of refrigerant gas — so no F-Gas handling certification is needed to install this unit. Installers do need to demonstrate competency in safe handling of flammable refrigerant systems, and a G3 qualification remains mandatory for the unvented works.
