Andersen Quartz 7kW Socketed EV Charger | Cashmere | Type 2, WiFi

Description

The Andersen Quartz 7kW Socketed EV Charger in Cashmere is a compact, design led Type 2 untethered home charge point for electric and plug in hybrid vehicles. Its 7 kW single phase output, WiFi connectivity, solar compatibility and integrated safety protection make it a practical choice for UK driveways, garages and commercial staff parking areas.

Because this is a socketed charger, it uses the Type 2 charging cable supplied with your vehicle, keeping the wall unit neat and uncluttered. The premium Cashmere finish and slim aluminium faced housing allow the charger to blend discreetly into modern homes, while the Andersen app provides scheduled charging, remote control and energy insights.

Use your vehicle’s own Type 2 cable: this socketed, untethered configuration is ideal where a fixed cable is not required, helping to maintain a clean external appearance.

Installation and electrical supply: this charger is intended for professional installation by a suitably qualified electrician. The available charging rate depends on the vehicle’s onboard charger and the property’s electrical supply, a three phase supply is required for higher power three phase charging configurations.

Safety and compliance: the Quartz includes internal 6 mA DC leakage protection, 30 mA AC protection and PEN fault detection. Installation must comply with current UK wiring and EV charging requirements, including BS 7671.

Can it charge from solar panels?

Yes. The Andersen Quartz is solar compatible and can use surplus solar generation for EV charging when configured with the appropriate CT clamp setup.

Does it work with smart energy tariffs?

Yes. The Quartz is designed for smart tariff integration and can be used with compatible off peak EV energy tariffs, helping reduce home charging costs.

Who should install the charger?

Installation should be carried out by a qualified EV charger installer in accordance with UK electrical requirements, including BS 7671. The installer will assess the supply, earthing arrangements, circuit protection and WiFi coverage.
