Wiska SPRINT GLP20+ M20 Cable Gland & Locknut | Pack of 10

Description

The Wiska SPRINT GLP20+ is an M20 polyamide compression cable gland supplied with a locknut, sold in packs of 10. On an air conditioning install it seals the supply and interconnecting cables entering isolator enclosures, junction boxes and other weatherproof boxes, keeping water and dust out.

It has IP68 (5 bar, 30 minutes) and IP69 protection, an EPDM sealing gasket and a −40 °C to +100 °C temperature range. The cable range of 7.5 to 14 mm takes common round flexible cables, and the gland is available in white or black.

⚠ Electrical work: competent person only

Fixed wiring must be installed to BS 7671 by a competent person. Tighten the gland to the torque in the specification, and use glands only with the cable diameters they are rated for.

⚠ Round cable only

Compression glands seal on round cable. Flat twin and earth cable does not seal properly in a round gland, so use a suitable flat-cable entry or run it in conduit. Measure the cable's outer diameter against the 7.5 to 14 mm range before ordering.

Which cables fit the 7.5 to 14 mm range?

Common round flexible cables such as 3 core and 4 core H07RN-F and SY or YY control cables in 1.5 mm² and 2.5 mm² are within this range. Measure the outer diameter of your cable to be sure.

Can I use it with flat twin and earth cable?

Not for a sealed entry. Compression glands seal on round cable, so run flat twin and earth in conduit or use a suitable flat-cable entry.

What does the locknut do?

The locknut secures the gland to the enclosure wall. Each gland in the pack includes one.

What torque should I use?

Wiska specifies 4 Nm for the gland body and 3 Nm for the cap nut.
