These Insulated Turning Panels are designed to be used alongside ThermRite's routed grooved cement boards, providing the pipe-turn sections needed to complete a full underfloor heating overlay at each end of a room. Each panel is factory-split down a central cutting line, so a single panel yields two turning sections - one for each end wall - making a pack of 10 sufficient to cover both ends of a typical room run.
Every panel has a 3mm insulation layer pre-attached to its underside. This layer serves two purposes: it reduces downward heat loss into the structure below, and it raises the panel to exactly 18mm in height, matching the height of the main grooved cement boards so the finished floor build-up sits flush and level across the whole room.

Pre-Attached Insulation
One Panel, Two Turning Sections
Each panel in this pack is pre-split along a central cutting line, creating two separate turning panels from a single board - one for each end of the room. This means a pack of 10 panels provides turning sections for both ends of a run, based on the manufacturer's stated pack coverage of a 12 metre total wall length (2 x 6.0 metre walls).
Height-Matched to Grooved Cement Boards
The 3mm insulation layer pre-attached to the underside of each panel is not just for thermal performance - it also brings the panel up to 18mm in height, precisely matching the height of ThermRite's grooved cement boards. This ensures a flush, even surface across both the straight-run and turning sections of the floor.
For Use with Grooved Cement Boards
These turning panels are designed as a companion product to ThermRite's grooved cement boards and are not sold as a standalone overlay system. Grooved cement boards, pipe, and jointing adhesive should be sourced separately to complete the full floor build-up.
Pre-Split for Two Turning Sections
Each panel is factory-split along a central line, giving two turning sections per board and simplifying end-of-room pipe layouts.
3mm Pre-Attached Insulation
A 3mm insulation layer bonded to the underside of every panel reduces downward heat loss into the floor structure below.
Height-Matched Construction
The added insulation layer brings each panel to 18mm overall height, matching the grooved cement board height for a level, flush finish.
Complete End-Wall Coverage
A pack of 10 panels is designed to provide turning coverage for 2 x 6.0 metre walls (12 metres total), suiting most standard room configurations.
Consistent System Compatibility
Purpose-designed to pair directly with ThermRite grooved cement boards, maintaining consistent floor height and finish across the whole installation.
Simplifies Pipe Turn Layouts
Provides a ready-made solution for the pipe turn sections at the ends of a run, removing the need to hand-cut turning details into standard straight-run boards.

Application
Pipe turn sections at room end walls in underfloor heating overlay systems
How many turning sections does one pack provide?
Each of the 10 panels in the pack is pre-split down a central line, giving two turning sections per panel. Based on the manufacturer's stated coverage, a pack covers a total wall length of 12 metres (2 x 6.0m walls).
Why do these panels have insulation attached?
The 3mm insulation layer on the underside of each panel reduces heat loss downward into the floor structure, and also raises the panel to 18mm in height so it matches the height of the grooved cement boards used elsewhere in the room.
Can these panels be used on their own without grooved cement boards?
These turning panels are designed as a companion product to ThermRite's grooved cement boards and are intended to complete the pipe-turn sections of that system, rather than to be used as a standalone floor overlay.
Do I need one pack per room, or per end wall?
A single pack of 10 panels is designed to provide turning coverage for both ends of a room, based on the stated coverage of 2 x 6.0 metre walls. Larger rooms, or rooms with more than two turning walls, may require additional packs.
