The Heatmiser neoHub Gen 2 is the smart gateway that transforms a Heatmiser Neo multi-zone heating system into a fully app-controlled smart home heating platform. Connect it to your router via the supplied Ethernet cable, pair your neoStat and neoAir thermostats, and you can control heating, hot water and connected appliances for up to 32 zones from anywhere in the world via the neoApp (iOS and Android). The neoHub communicates with mains-powered neoStats using a Zigbee mesh network — each thermostat acts as a relay point, extending coverage throughout the property without Wi-Fi extenders. Works with Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Amazon Alexa and IFTTT. No subscription fees. No Wi-Fi pairing required for the hub itself (Ethernet only). If internet fails, thermostats continue operating independently. Automatic firmware updates keep the system current. Dimensions: 170 × 91 × 25.5 mm.

ℹ Ethernet port required: The neoHub connects via a wired Ethernet (RJ45) cable. One free port on your router or network switch is required. Wi-Fi extenders do not boost the Zigbee mesh signal — use a neoPlug or Boost V2 for range extension.
Compatible Neo Devices
Works with all of the following Neo devices on the same system:
neoStat — mains wired programmable thermostat
neoStat-e — electric underfloor heating (16A)
neoStat-HW — hot water programmer with changeover contacts
neoStat-HC — heating and cooling fan coil thermostat
Maximum 32 devices per neoHub. Gen 1 neoStats (v1) are not compatible with the neoHub Gen 2. Wireless door and air sensors are not supported by neoHub G3 (check product version). neoAir thermostats do not repeat the mesh signal — a neoPlug or Boost V2 repeater is recommended for battery-stat-only systems or large properties.
Key Features
Mesh Networking via Zigbee — Reliable Coverage Across the Whole Property
The neoHub uses a Zigbee mesh network to communicate with mains-powered neoStat thermostats. In a mesh system, each wired neoStat acts as a relay, passing signals from thermostats further away to the hub. This means the effective range of the system grows with the number of wired stats installed, unlike standard RF systems where every device must reach the hub directly. Wi-Fi extenders will not improve the mesh signal — a neoPlug or Boost V2 repeater is needed for additional range if required. Battery-powered neoAir thermostats join the mesh but do not repeat signals.

Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Alexa and IFTTT — Full Smart Home Integration
The neoHub Gen 2 is one of the first heating hubs to offer Apple HomeKit support, enabling Siri voice control and integration with the iOS Home app. It also works with Google Home (Google Assistant voice control), Amazon Alexa and IFTTT for automation with third-party apps and services. All four integrations are supported out of the box with no additional hardware or subscription.

No Subscription Fees — Free App, Free Updates, Free Forever
Unlike some competing smart heating platforms, the Heatmiser Neo system charges no monthly or annual subscription. The neoApp is free to download and use. Firmware updates are delivered automatically to the hub and all connected devices with no user action required. New features, performance improvements and security updates are applied without charge.

Heating Continues if Internet Fails — App Optional, Not Required
The neoHub provides remote and in-home app control, but it is not required for the heating to operate. If your internet connection or the hub loses power, thermostats continue to operate from their own programmed schedules on the wall. This is an important practical consideration — the system is not dependent on the cloud for basic heating function.

Geo-Location, Smart Profiles and 7-Day Temperature History
The neoApp supports Geo-Location: each household member can set a leave radius and return radius — when the last person leaves home, a recipe activates (e.g. set all zones to Away). When the first person returns, heating resumes. Smart Profiles allow you to create a temperature schedule once and apply it to multiple zones simultaneously. The app also records and displays 7-day temperature history for each zone.

Ethernet Connection — No Wi-Fi Pairing, Maximum Stability
The neoHub connects to your broadband router via the supplied Ethernet (RJ45) cable. It does not connect to your home Wi-Fi network — a wired connection provides greater stability and eliminates dropouts caused by Wi-Fi channel congestion or router distance. One free port on your router or network switch is required. The hub is powered via the supplied Mini USB lead and power adaptor.

7-Day Flexible Programming — 4 or 6 Temperature Periods Per Day
Via the neoApp with the neoHub connected, each thermostat supports 4 or 6 temperature change points per day in fully flexible 7-day format (every day different). Without the hub, neoStats offer 5/2 programming (weekday/weekend) from the wall. Modes include: non-programmable (fixed setpoint), 5/2, 24-hour, and full 7-day. The auto summer/winter BST time correction is applied automatically via the hub.

Up to 32 Zones — Suitable for Small Flats to Large Multi-Floor Properties
A single neoHub can manage up to 32 zones — more than enough for most residential properties and suitable for HMOs, larger homes and light commercial applications. The system supports mixed installations: wired neoStats, wireless neoAir thermostats, electric underfloor (neoStat-e), hot water control (neoStat-HW) and smart plugs (neoPlug) can all coexist on the same hub and app.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need the neoHub to use neoStat thermostats?
No. The neoStat works as a standalone programmable thermostat from the wall without a neoHub. The neoHub is needed if you want: (1) remote app control from your smartphone; (2) HomeKit, Google Home, Alexa or IFTTT integration; (3) Geo-Location and Smart Profile features; (4) multi-zone central control via the neoUltra. If your internet or neoHub fails, the thermostats continue operating normally from their wall programmes.
What is the difference between the neoHub Gen 2 and the newer G3?
The neoHub Gen 2 and G3 share the same core functionality: 32-device support, Ethernet, Zigbee mesh, HomeKit/Google/Alexa/IFTTT, no subscription and auto firmware updates. The G3 adds improved mesh performance, a 4-week temperature history (vs 7 days), and enhanced system performance insights. Wireless door and air sensors are not supported by the G3 — if your system uses these, retain the Gen 2. Gen 2 also receives automatic firmware updates via Heatmiser’s servers.
Can I mix wired neoStats and wireless neoAir thermostats?
Yes. The neoHub supports mixed installations: wired neoStats (230V) and wireless neoAir thermostats (battery powered) can coexist on the same system. Wired neoStats act as mesh repeaters, boosting coverage for neoAir stats nearby. Note that neoAir thermostats themselves do not repeat the mesh signal, so in a system of only neoAir stats, you may need neoPlug or Boost V2 repeaters for reliable coverage.
Does it work with HomeKit if I have an Android phone?
HomeKit is an Apple ecosystem feature and requires an Apple device (iPhone, iPad or HomePod) to set up and act as a home hub for remote access. If you have an Android phone, you can still use the neoApp fully — all heating and hot water control, geo-location, scheduling and remote access work on Android. HomeKit/Siri voice control is the Apple-only feature; Google Home and Alexa work on both platforms.
Can I control multiple homes from one app?
Yes. The neoApp supports multiple locations, so you can manage heating systems in more than one property from a single account. Users can be added as Guest or Admin on each system — Guest users cannot modify zone settings or share access, while Admin users have full control.
