Doncaster H07RN-F is a heavy duty rubber flexible cable built to withstand harsh weather, oils and greases, and mechanical and thermal stress. This 3 core 2.5 mm² black 100 m reel suits outdoor unit power supply and interconnection on single and multi split air conditioning systems where the manufacturer specifies a rubber-sheathed flexible cable. It is also used on worksites, for mobile power and for pumps and motors.
It has annealed flexible copper conductors, thermosetting rubber insulation (EI7) and sheath (EM2) and a 450/750 V rating, and it is manufactured to BS EN 50525-2-21. Cores are green/yellow, blue and brown, and the black sheath handles a −30 °C to +60 °C operating range (85 °C maximum) with a minimum bending radius of 6 times the diameter.

⚠ Electrical work: competent person only
Fixed wiring must be designed and installed to BS 7671 by a competent person. In dwellings in England, new circuits are notifiable under Part P of the Building Regulations. Size the cable and its protective device for the unit's rated current, the cable length and the installation method.
⚠ Check the unit manufacturer's cable specification
Many air conditioning manufacturers specify a particular flexible cable type for the outdoor unit supply and interconnection. Confirm that H07RN-F, three cores and 2.5 mm² match the unit manual, and check your installation method and cable length for voltage drop.
ℹ Follow the unit manual
Air conditioning manufacturers specify the cable type, number of cores and cross-sectional area for the power supply and the indoor to outdoor interconnection. Check the installation manual for your indoor and outdoor units before ordering.

Frequently asked questions
Is H07RN-F suitable for air conditioning units?
Several air conditioning manufacturers specify a rubber-sheathed flexible cable such as H07RN-F for outdoor unit supply and interconnection. Always follow the cable type, core count and size in your units' installation manual.
Can I use H07RN-F outdoors?
Yes. Doncaster designs it to withstand harsh weather, oils and greases, and mechanical and thermal stress. Route it so it is not exposed to unnecessary mechanical damage.
What do the letters in H07RN-F mean?
H means harmonised, 07 means 450/750 V, R means rubber insulation, N means polychloroprene-type rubber sheath, and F means flexible conductors.
What are the core colours?
Green/yellow, blue and brown on the 3 core cable, in a black sheath.
What is the minimum bending radius?
Six times the overall cable diameter. Allow for the upper diameter of up to 14 mm when planning bends.
