The Deks Dektite Fixing Kit DFK1 is the manufacturer-specified accessory kit for securely and weatherproofing Dektite EPDM and Silicone pipe flashings on profiled metal roofs. Rather than relying on generic fixings, the DFK1 supplies everything an installer needs in the correct quantities to complete a compliant, long-lasting seal around flue and pipe penetrations.
Designed to accompany the Dektite range (including the popular DFE101BM flashing), this kit contains self-drilling screws, matching colour caps, and low modulus silicone sealant sized for typical installations, removing the guesswork of sourcing compatible fixings separately.

Compatibility note: The DFK1 is sized for smaller Dektite flashings - one kit typically fixes 2 to 3 units of the Dektite DFE101BM flashing. For larger flashing sizes or multiple larger installations, the larger-capacity DFK2 kit (3 x silicone tubes, 75 screws, 75 caps) may be more appropriate. Refer to the sizing table on the reverse of the fixing instruction leaflet to confirm the correct kit for your specific flashing size before ordering.
Purpose-Matched Fixings
Self-drilling screws are supplied in the correct diameter and length to bite directly into profiled metal roof sheeting without pre-drilling, reducing installation time and the risk of an incorrect fixing choice compromising the seal.
Low Modulus Silicone
The included 75ml silicone tube is a low modulus formulation, meaning it remains flexible after curing. This allows the sealant to accommodate thermal movement between the flashing base and the metal roof sheet without cracking or losing adhesion over time.
Colour-Matched Caps
Silver colour caps conceal the screw heads for a neater, more weathertight finish that also helps resist corrosion at the fixing point, a common failure area on unprotected roof screws.
Kit-Based Sizing Logic
Deks structures its fixing kits (DFK1, DFK2) around the number of flashings being installed, so installers order one part number rather than calculating individual screw, cap, and sealant quantities for each job.
Instruction Leaflet Included
Every kit ships with a fixing instruction leaflet, including a reference table on the reverse showing which kit size is required for each Dektite flashing size, supporting correct kit selection on site.
Metal Roof Specific
Formulated and packaged specifically for metal roof applications, distinct from Deks' separate FlatSeal range designed for flat and low-pitch roofs with single-ply or bitumen coverings.

Which Dektite flashings is the DFK1 kit compatible with?
The DFK1 is designed for use with Deks EPDM and Silicone flashings on metal roofs, and is sized to fix approximately 2 to 3 units of the Dektite DFE101BM flashing. Always check the sizing table on the reverse of the included instruction leaflet against your specific flashing model before installation.
What is the difference between the DFK1 and DFK2 kits?
The DFK1 contains 1 x 75ml silicone tube, 25 self-drilling screws, and 25 colour caps. The larger DFK2 kit contains three times the quantity of each component (3 tubes, 75 screws, 75 caps) for installations involving a greater number of flashings or larger flashing sizes.
Is this kit suitable for flat or low-pitch roofs?
No. The DFK1 is formulated and packaged specifically for metal roof installations. For flat or low-pitch roofs with single-ply or bitumen coverings, Deks' separate FlatSeal EPDM system is the appropriate product, which seals using hot or cold liquid bitumen rather than screw fixings.
Does the silicone in the kit need to cure before the roof is exposed to weather?
As with all silicone sealants, allow the manufacturer-recommended curing time before the installation is exposed to heavy rain or pressure washing. The low modulus formulation is chosen specifically to remain flexible long-term, accommodating thermal expansion and contraction of the metal roof.
Can the self-drilling screws be used on any metal roof profile?
The screws are designed for typical profiled metal roofing sheet. Self-drilling screws should be placed 25-50mm apart, in the centre of the surrounding metal base, per Deks' fixing guidance. For unusual roof profiles or substrates, confirm fixing suitability with your roofing installer.
